5 Stars: Art reflects on Peace, Justice, Equality, Democracy and Progress, the latest exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM), celebrates Singapore’s Golden Jubilee by commemorating the ideals represented by the state flag of Singapore. The exhibition features commissioned works from five art luminaries who had been invited to reflect on the core values as symbolised by each star. The artists are: Suzann Victor (Bloodline of Peace), Ho Tzu Nyen (No Man), T K Sabapathy (Of Equal Measure), Matthew Ngui (Every Point of View) and Zulkiflie Mahmod (Raising Spirits and Restoring Souls). The exhibition, curated by Joyce Toh, Tan Siuli abd Louis Ho, will run from 2 October 2015 to 2 May 2016. Admission is free for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. SAM is located at 71 Bras Basah Road.
