In collaboration with Dynasties Antique & Art Gallery, Goshen Gallery brings world-renowned Chinese Ink Master, Prof Zhang Xing to Singapore for his 4th solo exhibition at ION Art from 23 – 29 Mar 2016.
Born in the Kunshan Jiangsu Province China in 1955, Prof. Zhang Xing has learnt his skills and techniques from Masters Zhang Jixin, Chen Dayu, Qian Juntao and Liu Haisu. He has since acquired a notable reputation in the art industry and serves on numerous national and international associations – including the Sino-Japanese Artist Exchange Association, the Arts and Crafts Artist Association, an academician of Art Research Institute of China, the Jiangsu Aesthetic Association of China, the Chinese Notable Painting & Calligraphy Academy and so on.

In March 1998, Zhang Xing’s painting ‘Morning Songs from Fishing Boats’ was selected by Hong Kong government as a gift to American President Bill Clinton, and on Nov 6, 2007, his painting named ‘Great Achievement’ was given to former British prime minister Tony Blair as a national gift.
In his search for contemporary expression of traditional themes, he is forging a new path in Chinese folk painting. In this exhibition he will presented 60 pieces of his artworks, including water village landscape, flowers, fruits and birds.
