Perhaps labeled as one of today’s most interesting fashion designers, Jonathan Anderson is revered for his avant-garde approaches in re-engineering 200-year old brand fashion brand LOEWE, from the ground up. Besides placing his stamps on multiple men’s and womenswear collections, the 30-year old creative director is also hosting a plethora of art-related initiatives and activities, with the latest being the brand’s second project at the LOEWE Miami district store, an art exhibition for the LOEWE FOUNDATION, tying up with Art Basel Miami 2016.
Entitled Chance Encounters II, the exhibition brings together the works of Irish Artist William McKeown and British Potter John Ward. Although they specialise in different creative fields, the artists share fundamental beliefs in craftmanship – where both their works draws our attention to light and colour, and the rich materiality of the natural world.
The showcase will premiere from now to 31 Mar 2017 in Miami.
