Celebrating it’s return for the fifth year, Art Basel Hong Kong 2017 starts today to 25 Mar 2017. The fair is sandwiched between the two biggest events on the Hong Kong art and culture calenday namely; the recently concluded Hong Kong Arts Festival and the upcoming Hong Kong International Film Festival next week.
This year, the fair has expanded to feature an all-new Kabinett sector (akin to the one at Art Basel Miami, at the main section of the fair entitled Galleries, and the event will feature 242 galleries from 24 countries.
Some of our noteworthy picks include Meld – a selection of new work by Singaporean Artist Jane Lee, from Sundaram Tagore Gallery, artworks by Yee I-Lan from Malaysia, an entire sculpture made of crushed glass by Suzann Victor from Singapore and Mirror, a short film by Singaporean filmmaker Boo Junfeng, represented by Pearl Lam Galleries.
