The National Gallery Singapore has opened a new learning facility with the aim of nurturing art interest in young visitors. The Keppel Centre for Art Education has an impressive line-up of innovative programmes and activities designed to make learning art enjoyable and accessible. These include providing the opportunity for visitors to access original artwork, handle art tools, select artworks, write labels and conduct exhibition tours for their peers in masterclasses led by artists and educators. The National Gallery Singapore hopes to encourage curiosity and imagination among young audiences, and promote art education in Singapore. Located on the ground floor of the City Hall Wing, the Keppel Centre for Art Education is set to open together with the National Gallery Singapore on 24 November 2015.
