Premiering at its first year in Indonesia, Art Stage Jakarta is the first premium international art fair to be experienced in the city-state. Dubbed as the “heartbeat of Asia” by Mr Lorenzo Rudolf, founder of Art Stage Singapore and Indonesia – Indonesia has the largest art market in Southeast Asia, with a strong base of art collectors. This makes the nation a crucial pillar and partner to developing Singapore’s art scene.
Similar to the programme at Art Stage Singapore, Art Stage Jakarta 2016 will include talks and discussions on various key topics concerning contemporary art in Southeast Asia,in its programme. It is set to feature 50 galleries from its local scene and beyond, 11 of them will hailf from Singapore ; namely – Art Porters, Element Art Space, Fost Gallery, Gajah Gallery, Intersections Gallery, Linda Gallery, Galerie Michael Janssen, Mizuma Gallery, Ota Fine Arts, Pearl Lam Galleries, Galerie Sogan & Art and Yeo Workshop.
Art collectors from all over the world are invited to experience the diverse and vibrant Indonesian art scene from 5 to 7 August 2016 at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel.
