The 7th edition of the Asia Contemporary Art Show will take place at the Conrad Hong Kong from October 8-11. This year’s second edition features a diverse line-up of paintings, limited edition work, sculpture and photography spread out over the hotel’s rooms across the 40th, 41st and 42nd floors.
Emerging and mid-career Hong Kong artists will be at the forefront of the Fall edition of the show. More than a year in the making, this particular show will see more than a hundred pieces from artists such as Martin Lever, Rachel Cheung Wai-Sze, TK Chan, Andrea Chung, Bobo Po, David Chung, Dragon Ken, Eva Chan, Heidi Leung, Lee Hon Nam, Ling Kwok Po, Vicky Ng and Claire Billson presented in intimate fashion.
“We are excited to present some promising local young and mid-career talent at the show,” says Director Mark Saunderson. “Hong Kong has a lot of unsung artists, sometimes hidden from collectors and art buyers. It is hard for Hong Kong artists to get the attention they deserve – art gallery overhead is high and gallerists carefully weigh representing lesser-known local artists versus a sometimes easier path.”
Additionally, more than 60 international galleries from over 17 countries will be participating with more than 2,000 pieces of artwork on show. Admission is ticketed at HK$220 and may be purchased online at www.asiacontemporaryart.com/tickets or at the door.
