The team at intersection.sg speaks to Singapore artist, Dawn Ng about her latest commission for Hermes. Newly refurbished, she is the first Singaporean multi-disciplinary artist asked to inaugurate the brand’s art space, Aloft at Hermes.
As one of the five art spaces around the world, Aloft at Hermes is run by the Fondation d’entreprise Hermes, which supports a variety of arts initiatives and develops its own programmes such as exhibitions and artists’ residencies.
Entitled “How to Disappear into a Rainbow“, Ng’s installation is made of thick plaster and wood panels, painted in pastel shades of pale yellow, pink and blue, with mirrors that run down its sides.
Ng’s work will run until Aug 14. Admission to the art space is free.
