Come 12 March, visitors can embark on an interactive journey of exploration and play at FUTURE WORLD: Where Art Meets Science, through 15 digital interactive art installations.
Future World is Art Science Museum’s new permanent exhibition and co-curated with teamLab, a globally renowned Japanese group of ultra-technologists and multi-award winning art collective. This is Singapore’s largest digital playground spanning 1,500 square meters, which is approximately a quarter of the museum’s total gallery space.
Using cutting-edge technology, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey of discovery through four key narratives – Nature, Town, Park and Space. Installations within the ‘Nature’ gallery immerse visitors in a world of flora and fauna, as digital flowers bloom or fade away depending on how visitors interact with them. In ‘Space’, visitors will experience the monumental 3-D light sculptureCrystal Universe – which enables them to experience astrophysical phenomena such as planets, stars, galaxies, and even the recently detected gravitational waves which Einstein predicted would exist a century ago.
