Immersing in tradition is a solo exhibition by Brazilian artist and long-time Singapore resident Deise Dias. This solo exhibition, the third for the artist, is a salute to traditional symbolism with strong references to batik patterns and mandalas.
Having lived in Asia for coming on 20 years, Immersing in tradition is the artist’s attempt to explore a realm beyond her trademark subject matters by diving deep into “meditative” art, a realm where mandalas are a recurring theme.
The exhibition is the culmination of one year’s work for Deise and opening night will take place on 30 October, 2015 at 6.30 pm at the Cultural Space – The Embassy of Brazil, located at 101 Thomson Road, #08-06 United Square.
If you would like to attend the exhibition opener, please RSVP by 22 October to firstname.lastname@example.org.
