From now to 2 Mar, Jahan Loh is launching a pop-up studio and solo exhibition titled Bside and Rarities at the Ion Art Gallery. The exhibition is a roving installation that depicts the artist’s day-to-day work process and visual language.
A multi-disciplinary artist recognised both in the fine art and street art scenes, Jahan has seen success in his work being exhibited in New York, Tokyo, Melbourne, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. He is well known for his distinct flair in blending traditional mediums with his neo-pop aesthetics. The artist is also the first Singaporean who has his works featured on merchandise of internationally acclaimed brands such as VANS, Reebok and Adidas.
“With this pop-up exhibition, I wish to cultivate an understanding of the influence that art has on modern living by juxtaposing art pieces with corresponding commercial merchandise” comments Jahan.
The exhibition will be opened daily from 11 am to 8 pm, from now to 2 Mar 2016 at the Ion Art Gallery. Visitors can also play a part in creating a piece with an interactive art installation which will be completed by Jahan himself.
