From now to 3 July, Spanish Artist Joan Cornelia is presenting a pay-as-you-wish solo exhibition, hosted by Symmetry Entertainment and THE ARTBISHOP.
Cornelia is known for his bizarre, topsy-humoured works where nothing is sacred – or profane, to say the least. A well-meaning man donates a condom to a homeless woman saddled with young children; a murderer kills an elderly lady, only to paint her face black and rouse applause from the police; a father administers heroin to his little girl who just lost her balloon. These are just a few of his surreal, carnivalesque tales.
This exhibition is a must if you enjoy slapstick comedy. But, it is definitely not one for the faint-hearted.
