Come 24 September, visitors can embark on a visual journey at M.C. Escher’s playful and imaginative world with Art Science Museum’s latest exhibition, Journey to Infinity: Escher’s World of Wonder.
Marking its Southeast Asian Premiere, the exhibition will feature more than 150 original artworks by Escher, exploring the intersection between art, mathematics, science and poetry.
The Dutch Artist is recognised as one of the great icons of the 20th century and is world renowned for his enigmatic sketches and paradoxical designs. His works are executed with incredible detail and mathematic precision to create impossible constructions, optical illusions, and surprising visions.
The showcase gives visitors a peek into the creative world of Escher’s ingenuity – his ability to repeat patterns of interlocking tessellations – imbuing paradoxical representations of infinity and his natural intuition of mathematical drawings.
