From 30 July to 20 September, Yavuz Gallery will be one of the four galleries in Singapore and Bangkok to stage Fear , a solo exhibition by Manit Sriwanichpoom.
Sriwanichpoom is one of Southeast Asia’s leading photographic artist – his exhibition is an intensive exploration into Thailand’s current socio-political climate and will showcase in both countries simultaneously. The exhibition’s central motif delves into the state of Thailand’s escalating political and social crisis by peeking into the lives of ordinary Thai citizens. They are presented as helpless passengers riding in the waves of unprecedented political turmoil in Thailand from the last general election in 2011 to the recent solar eclipse in March 2016.
