From now until the end of August 2016, Element Art Space will play host to the works of 8 Chinese artists in a showcase entitled Memories of China.
Exploring the resurgence of art in China after the cultural revolution of 1966 to 1976, the exhibition explores the new chapter of the arts under the leadership of Deng Xiaoping, after the passing of Mao in 1976. The artists featured, namely – Chen Junde, Guan Puxue, Liang Yulong, Mao Yigang, Song Huimin, Wang Keju, Wang Lu and Weng Kaixuan are born near or during that period.
The exhibition also explores the Chinese depictions of nature, its history and China’s advent of landscape art.
