If you’re looking for something to do this Friday night, STPI has prepared a specially curated exhibition of 40 odd works that invites viewers to rediscover the inherent qualities and characteristics of paper – the most commonplace utilitarian in our daily lives. Entitled Looks Good on Paper, the showcase explores the medium’s unparalleled properties at the STPI Creative Workshop on Friday, 18 November from 6PM to 8.30PM.
Paper is organic, fibrous and malleable in nature. As durable as it is delicate, the fundamental makings of the handmade substance is often overlooked – however remains essential to the creative pursuit and materialisation of concepts and projects born out of the use of paper.
Art lovers are in for a treat as artists ASHLEY BICKERTON, RICHARD DEACON, RYAN GANDER, HAN SAI POR, SHIRAZEH HOUSHIARY, TEPPEI KANEUJI, EKO NUGROHO, HANDIWIRMAN SAPUTRA, SHAMBHAVI, DO HO SUH, HAEGUE YANG, SUZANN VICTOR, and artist duo WU SHANZHUAN & INGA SVALA THORSDOTTIR showcase an impressive collection of infinite possibilities of paper creations.
