Presented by Chan Hampe Galleries, Korean Artist Si Jae Byun will be making her debut in Singapore with her solo exhibition Multifarious.
Since her arrival in Singapore, Byun’s immediate environment has begun to influence her work. The series of paintings titled Meeting & Mixing is a nod to the exceptionally diverse blend of cultures coexisting in the city-state, while the prevalence of contemporary architecture laced with greenery has led her to include pods of encapsulated vegetation nestled within larger structures.
Coupled with the frenetic movement and mechanically inspired forms, there is a decidedly Futuristic bent to her paintings.
Multifarious runs from 9 June – 3 July 2016 at Chan Hampe Galleries, located at Raffles Hotel Arcade #01-21, 328 North Bridge Road. The exhibition is free and open to publiuc from Tuesday through Sunday from 11am – 7pm.
