Currently being staged at iPreciation is the second solo exhibition by Singaporean multidisciplinary artist Lee Wen. The show, called Songs Unsung, will run from 28th October to 21st November and comes in the wake of a successful solo exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong 2014.
Songs Unsung is a selection of works and ideas that reveal the artist’s wide ranging repertoire. The exhibition showcases works from 1990 to 2015 and includes drawings, paintings and limited edition fine art photography taken from Lee’s performances in Kyoto (1995) and Chicago (2013). In this exhibition, there are two early paintings titled Crucifixion and Hard Rain, created in 1990, which showcase the artist’s distinctive style and allow viewers to observe his unwavering consistency over the years.
