New on the block at Scotts Square, the K+ Curatorial Space is one part retail space and one part art gallery. Come August 19 to October 2, K+ will host their first international artist, Stephen Wiltshire.
Despite his autism, Stephen is celebrated for his prodigious ability to draw accurate, lifelike representations of cities from memory. Extraordinarily he is able to render scenes he saw years ago with accuracy.
In 2006, Stephen was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his services to the art world. His fame grew since appearing on the BBC programme, “The Foolish Wise Ones”. At the age of 8, he was commissioned by former British Prime Minister Edward Heath to draw Salisbury Cathedral and has published a book at the age of 12.
Today, his work is held in important collections all over the world and he continues to be recognised as a leading architectural artist.
