Some time back, we interviewed Sarah Choo Jing in a short clip here on her upcoming artworks and projects. Unlike other recent shows, her most recent work is a permanent showcase at Gallery 10, a new addition to the National Gallery.
Jointly presented with commercial cinematographer Jeffrey Ang, The Art of Rehearsal is a three channel immersive installation that features nine traditional dancers of different ethnicities dancing against the backdrop of familiar alley-ways in Singapore.
Located next to food outlet, Food for Thought, Gallery 10 is the first digital gallery at the National Museum. It is presented in collaboration by the National Museum of Singapore, National Heritage Board and National Arts Council.
Besides hosting innovative and immersive digital art, Gallery 10 also hopes to engage viewers with a unique experience by doubling up as a food and art go-to place. It offers the usual suspects a unique experience of enjoying art, with the freedom of holding a snack or drink in hand.
