With art cafes becoming a boom, we’ve got our sights set on Artistry. On 27 August, Marijke den Ouden will be exhibiting at the cafe establishment with her artworks available for sale as well.
Marijke uses acrylic paint on canvas and recently incorporates Chinese ink and rice paper as her new medium of choice. Having lived in Singapore and Hong Kong for 12 years, her artworks are influenced by the visual cacophony of the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungles.
Themes such as luxury and hardship, grit and grace and moving forward and upbeat can be found in her paintings.
Marijke now resides in Singapore. For more information, click here.
