If you have not caught the inaugural exhibition of Beauty Beyond Form, you can still do so for the next 2 months at the National Art Gallery in Singapore. Featuring a variety of oil and ink works – the collection is a showcase of artworks spanning from Wu’s 50-year career. Ahead of his time, Wu (1919 – 2010) was a forerunner of synthesising Chine art with Western modernism. The exhibition showcases his passion and proficiency with Chine and Western art tradition.
The collection of artworks is the largest holding of his works in a public collection and many are on display for the first time in Singapore. Works will exhibit until 25 September 2016.
