Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet is unveiling its new exhibition at Yuz Musuem in Shanghai titled around the brand’s core philosophy; To Break The Rules, You Must First Master Them come Oct 28 to Nov 13 2016.
Commissioned to French designer Mathieu Lehanneur the exhibition is a reflection of time and takes visitors through the history of Audemars Piguet – the brand’s art of watchmaking and its affiliation with contemporary art.
“Here every door opens a new story” says Mathieu Lehanneur when commenting on the exhibition space concept. The architectural installation will be designed in the form of a large-scale ring with a copper finish and structured around a rock, created from cast replicas of those found in Audemars Piguet’s home in the Valle de Joux.
200 vintage and modern timepieces will be displayed across 12 rooms, within the ring – curated by Audemars Piguet’s Museum Director, Sebastian Vivas.
